Abike Dabiri gives update on Tayo Faniran’s condition after he was harassed by South African police
Abike Dabiri-Erewa has given an update on the situation with Big Brother Africa star, Tayo Faniran who was assaulted by South African police.
In a video shared yesterday by Faniran via hi IG Live, the police are seen harassing Tayo for refusing to follow them to the station in a police car after he refused to grant them access to search his phone. Tayo said the attack on him stemmed from xenophobia and he called for justice. Read Here ICYMI
Giving an update on the incident, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, tweeted: “Still on the incident involving ex Bbn star, Tayo. He is out Police net. Our mission in Joburg took it up with the authorities . They claimed he was rude and shouted at them immediately he was stopped. No matter, the Police behavior was wrong. We are trying to reach Tayo.”
